Kanoti Scoops Lovie Award

by

Last friday’s Lovie Awards party was a cracker and we danced the night away in celebration of our Gold award for our work on the BBC Bitesize Key Stage 2 English activities which were launched in the summer. A special thank you to Clarissa Maycock, from the BBC who worked with us on the project and joined us for some cocktail action at the party!

All winners were asked to prepare a 10 second speech with the word ‘love’ in it. These were filmed separately and cleverly spared us all from sitting through any lengthy or tearful dross.

You can check out the activities on the BBC Bitesize website or on this lovely little page we created: http://kanoti.com/bbc/lovies/

And, since we didn’t get the opportunity to deliver an endless stream of names, cry a bit and thank our parents on the night – here’s a bit of a spiel about the activities along with a shout out:

The Bitesize activities are based on the popular CBBC brands Big Babies and Trapped and cover the Key Stage 2 subject areas of reading, writing and spelling and grammar in a highly entertaining and humorous way.

Big up to the creative talents of John Bond, Chris Packer, Rosie Miles, Laurie Rowan and Martin Dennison and the scriptwriting hilarity of Emilia McKenzie.

John Davison, Creative Director of Kanoti, has this to say: “The new Big Babies and Trapped Key Stage 2 English Bitesize activities provide an enjoyable, more informal revision aid aimed at the older end of the KS2 audience. A selection of Flash game engines were used (such as catapult and crazy golf functionalities) to make the process of selecting the correct answer more engaging. The use of branded artwork and animation really brings the activities to life, allowing the audience to move seamlessly between the educational content of KS2 Bitesize and CBBC entertainment.”
